Description: This course examines burnout in SLP practice through an evidence-based lens and helps clinicians differentiate true burnout from stress or dissatisfaction. Participants explore how nervous system regulation, cognitive load, and emotional labor impact high-achieving SLPs, and learn sustainable practice design strategies that support alignment, boundaries, and long-term professional wellbeing.

Nicole Umaña Dos Santos, B.A, SLP-A (SHE/HER)
Nicole Umaña Dos Santos is the Chief Operating Officer and ASHA Continuing Education Administrator (CEA) of Tassel Learning and co-host of the Speechie Side Hustle podcast. She has worked as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) since 2017 and holds a bachelor’s degree from Emerson College. Nicole is also the founder of Nicole Umaña Creative, where she supports small businesses with branding and design strategy. She is passionate about helping clinicians build aligned, sustainable careers through entrepreneurship, intentional growth, and creative expansion.

Natasha Agha, M.S., CCC-SLP (SHE/HER)
Natasha Agha is a Speech-Language Pathologist, business consultant, and host of The F.E.A.R. Chronicles Podcast. She is the founder of Natasha Agha Consulting LLC, where she supports burned-out private practice owners and clinicians in reclaiming their time, energy, and alignment without sacrificing impact or income. Natasha integrates evidence-based practice, nervous system regulation, and sustainable business strategy to help SLPs build careers that are both profitable and personally sustainable. She is a strong advocate for trauma-informed, culturally responsive models that empower clinicians to thrive long-term.
