Description: This session discussed coregulation and how it applies to the field of Speech-Language Pathology. This session explored how coregulation relates to executive functioning skills and how SLPs can help students learn self-regulation through social strategies and executive function.

Venita is an Assistive Technology (AT) Consultant in south Florida. She has a passion for using AAC, AT, and literacy to support individuals with complex communication needs, autism, and other disabilities. Venita has delivered poster presentations on several topics related to AAC at ASHA and co-presented several ASHA CEU accredited courses. Venita co-authored two articles published in ASHA Leader’s online publication, as well as the Lou Knows What to Do book series published by Boys Town Press. Recently, Venita started utilizing the power of social media to empower and motivate educators across the country through the Speechie Side Up podcast, blog, Instagram account, and YouTube channel.
Danielle Kent is a speech-language pathologist in Vermont. She runs and owns Piece of Mind Therapy and Consulting, LLC. She provides short-term and long-term SLP contracts for school districts in the state of Vermont as well as providing workshops and courses on regulation, problem-solving, and organization. She is passionate about supporting therapists and educators to seek alignment and become leaders in their field. She loves to workout and spends time with her husband Adam, Two kids (Maddy& Troy), and their golden retriever Harley.
