SHOW NOTES

Introduction:

This week I had the pleasure of speaking with with Danielle Reed from Sublime Speech!

Danielle is a school based SLP and doctoral student with a focus on fun. I think her approach can be summed up with her motto “Boring isn’t beneficial so let’s have fun!”

Danielle opens up about she manages being a doctoral student, as well as a lead SLP in her district. She admits that true work-life balance is not achievable at this time. Instead, she has learned to re-allocate her time and priorities. If you have ever wondered what it would be like to get your doctorates, then this episode is for you!

Topics/Questions:

  1. Danielle, it seems like you’re spinning a lot of places right now. Not only are you the lead SLP in your district, but you’re also pursuing your doctorates in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Special Education at the same time. How are you balancing it all?
  2. Recently, you announced that you had the opportunity to contribute to a published book called, “Autism – What Schools Are Missing.” What an incredible accomplishment! What was that process like and where can people find it?
  3. You seem to always have new materials available. What are you the most recent materials you’ve released?
  4. I bet your free time is so valuable right now. Any hobbies that help you unwind?
