SHOW NOTES
Introduction
Today I’m speaking with SLPA, Jillian Yudin, also known as the Mindful Speechie. She shares about role of SLPAs in therapy and how they can work collaboratively with SLPs, occupational therapists, teachers, etc. If you’re unfamiliar with the work of SLPAs, if you don’t know how to effectively collaborate with SLPAs, or if you’re in the midst of deciding your career path, this episode is for you!
Jillian covers it all. We learn about her unique career and study path and why some might prefer to work as an SLPA instead of enduring the additional courses required to become a certified SLP.
Jillian shares why she tries to make therapy fun in both one-on-one and group settings– she shares some fun examples – and she reminds us that even when your best plans are a flop, with the ability to adjust on the fly, sometimes those end up being the best sessions of all.
Topics/Questions:
