SHOW NOTES

In this podcourse episode, we are joined by Melanie Evans, a Spanish bilingual SLP and certified master mindset coach, to discuss how money mindset affects clinicians’ careers. Melanie explains her “navigator” (conscious mind), “program” (subconscious mind), and “gatekeeper” (nervous system) framework for why goals like raises or new income streams can feel unsafe to pursue.

She describes how past experiences, ACEs, and attachment styles can drive patterns such as chronic saving or avoiding finances, and how stress and burnout prioritize safety over growth. We discuss alignment through purpose/values (ikigai/dharma), financial literacy resources (Think and Grow Rich, We Should All Be Millionaires, It’s Not Your Money), relevant research, and where to connect with Melanie and her programs.
