On this episode I am joined by Cara Walton, a certified speech-language pathologist who specializes in the areas of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and autism. Cara is the author of a recent change.org petition titled “Demands for ASHA to Increase Cultural Sensitivity” that received over 15,000 signatures in just 21 days! She has become a pioneer in helping underrepresented SLPs and graduate students in the field feel heard, experience change, and receive cultural education starting in graduate school.
