SHOW NOTES

Introduction

This week I had the pleasure of speaking with Karen from The Pedi Speechie. Karen is a TPT author and blogger who specializes in correcting a lisp and vocalic /r/.

It seems the SLP world is split on their passion for targeting these speech sound errors. Where do you stand? Do you love articulation therapy or would you rather not?

Honestly, it’s not my jam since I am more passionate about AAC. But someone has to do it! Thankfully we can have SLPs like Karen come on the podcast and share all of their tips and tricks. If you are interested in learning more about how to correct these errors, then you’re going to love this episode!

Topics/Questions:

  1. What are your tips for treating vocalic r?
  2. What are your suggestions and go-to resources for correcting a lisp?
  3. What are your most popular TPT resources?
  4. Where do you get inspiration for your hilarious felt board quotes?
