Presenters:

Venita Litvack, M.A, CCC-SLP

Venita is an Assistive Technology (AT) Consultant in south Florida. She has a passion for using AAC, AT, and literacy to support individuals with complex communication needs, autism, and other disabilities. Venita has delivered poster presentations on several topics related to AAC at ASHA and co-presented several ASHA CEU accredited courses. Venita co-authored two articles published in ASHA Leader’s online publication, as well as the Lou Knows What to Do book series published by Boys Town Press. Recently, Venita started utilizing the power of social media to empower and motivate educators across the country through the Speechie Side Up podcast, blog, Instagram account, and YouTube channel.

Sarah Breshears, M.A., CCC-SLP

Sarah Breshears is an SLP with 8 years of clinical experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, outpatient peds and adults, schools, and private practice…and that’s just the beginning. After drumming up social media content and weaving the online SLP community together behind the Short and Sweet Speech brand, she took her career to new heights and founded Social Moguls, a social media management company for medical professionals.

She finds the greatest joy in helping her clients increase the visibility of their brand so that they can help more patients, reach more people, and bring more awareness to the SLP profession. As with her patients, she helps the businesses she works with find, improve, and amplify their voice.

With the help of her team of 4 SLPs, an OT, and a graphic designer, Sarah provides a DIY course on strategically using socials, one-on-one social media coaching, and done-for-you social media management for some of the most well-known brands in the SLP world. When she’s not leading her team of content creators and keeping it real on Reels, she’s momming two frenchies, Betty White and Jack Black, and bringing optimism and positivity to the Instagram community. She is an avid traveler, scuba diver, CEU addict, and oral care advocate.

Elise Mitchell, M.S., CCC-SLP (SHE/HER)

Elise Mitchell, M.S. CCC-SLP, graduated from Missouri State University in 2013 and spent six years in virtual school staffing as an SLP, salesperson, and manager. After experiencing burnout, she stepped away but soon found joy in directly contracting with schools. In 2019, she founded The Therapist Support Network to provide school-based SLP, OT, and PT contractors with resources, community, and support. She created “The School Contractor Packet,” “School Contractor Training,” and “The School Staffing Packet and Training” to simplify contracting for individuals and small businesses. Outside of work, Elise enjoys life on her family’s farm in Missouri.
